A method of enhancing bone healing including identifying a damaged area of a bone and administering an agent comprising lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) is administered to the damaged area of the bone. A method of increasing bone regrowth. A subject is identified having a bone injury and lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) is administered to the subject.
